NUOVOIMAIE, the Institute for the Collective Management of Intellectual Property Rights of Performing Artists, founded and managed from only by artists, is responsible for collecting and distributing royalties to actors, voice actors, singers, musicians, conductors and choir members derived from the uses of the recorded works from performed by them. In addition to to carrying out the activity of brokering related law, it supports and promotes from always culture, contributing to the training of artists and rewarding their interpretation. NuovoImaie focuses on new faces, supporting their artistic training and professional growth in Italian music, film and theater production. The Institute supports many of the most important and prestigious musical and audiovisual events on the Italian cultural scene, delivering awards and scholarships to young and talented artists, selected from competent bodies.
For the first time at the Festival dei 2Mondi, it awards two scholarships to two deserving performers: the artist chosen in the musical sphere is Roberto Monjas Gonzales, first violin of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia present at the Festival's Final Concert conducted from Antonio Pappano; for the film and theater sector, the second award goes to Francesca Laviosa student actress of the "School of Performing Arts Professions" of Palermo's Teatro Biondo, on stage to Spoleto in the show Odissea to /R directed by Emma Dante.
