Third edition of the Award established by Fondazione Carla Fendi. With this award, the Foundation intends to honor outstanding personalities in the fields of art, culture, and creativity as distinguished witnesses of our time and examples of excellence for our future.
The Prize, a planisphere created for Fondazione Carla Fendi by Maestro Sandro Chia and from him reworked each year with a new image, has been given in past editions to Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo, winners of three Oscars, to director Robert Wilson and directors Liliana Cavani and Julie Taymor.
On the occasion of Spoleto57 Festival dei 2Mondi, Maestro Piero Tosi, Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement, and Maestro Riccardo Muti who, for the first time to Spoleto Festival dei 2Mondi, conducts the special event Concert for a Friend, are honored.
