The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Spoleto is celebrating twenty-five years since its establishment this year, although its ancient and important history dates back to 1836. Among the many projects carried out in favor of the Spoleto community and in a continuous perspective of the territory's growth, ample resources have privileged the cultural sector, as Spoleto is, to rightfully, a capital of culture. In this context, the collaboration with the Spoleto Festival is always alive, and its connection is enhanced year by year. On the occasion of the 60th edition, the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Spoleto presents, for the first time, an award that is meant to be an acknowledgement of a performer, present at the Festival, who has been able to combine human and artistic values by taking their discipline to the highest levels. The award goes to Eleonora Abbagnato, étoile de l'Opéra de Paris and Director of the Corps de Ballet of the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, who pays tribute to Maria Callas at the Festival this year. She receives the award from Sergio Zinni, president of the Carispo Foundation.
