For Spoleto68, Palazzo Collicola hosts a solo exhibition by William Kentridge, curated by Saverio Verini in collaboration with the Kentridge Studio and Lia Rumma Gallery. The artist's works engage in a dialogue with the rooms of the palace, creating an exhibition journey that unfolds across the Piano Nobile. On the ground floor, a selection of pieces from the De Donno Collection is displayed, featuring masterpieces by de Chirico, Fontana, Burri, Manzoni, Schifano, Boetti, De Dominicis, Cucchi, and artists from the 1990s. The collection's uniqueness lies in its exceptional array of books, documents, and ephemera that accompany the artworks, offering valuable insight into the context that shaped them and their critical reception. The exhibition continues with a series of artist-designed posters created for the Festival from 1958 to the present, offering a journey through the history of the event, in collaboration with the University of West Georgia. The second floor is dedicated to the photography of Stefano Cerio, featured as part of the public initiative Strategia Fotografia, promoted by the Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea of the Ministry of Culture, with Palazzo Collicola among the selected venues.
