Synopsis

The theater project I Prodotti involves a large number of people, including, first and foremost, a group of young Kenyan acrobats, the Afro Jungle Jeegs, who arrived in Italy bringing small performances of high and entertaining physical acrobatics, thanks to the support of Artificio23 and P.e.p.e. Produzioni.
Leonardo Pischedda, of Artificio23, a group that makes the intersection of genres the center of its research, proposed that the African acrobats interact with other artists such as those of Balletto Civile, an Italian physical theater company led from by Michela Lucenti that works from years favoring almost exclusively body language, song and dance.
The result was a long journey of training and work still in progress, a journey between Europe and Africa, which developed over two years, achieving a first accomplished result with the show I Prodotti, staged thanks to the artistic collaboration between Michela Lucenti and Leonardo Pischedda.

The performance is made up of individuals and their bodies, and tells a story bathed in white, which is the color of suspended things. Individuals dance and talk, and their actions need to show themselves, to reveal themselves with simple and direct tools. The show is about a kind of background noise, which can often be heard when everything else is silent, and how lives are immersed in the cold, even to Nairobi.

Leonardo Pischedda
He is assistant director to Carlo Cecchi in Hamlet in the Shakespearian Trilogy in Palermo where he meets, among others, Spiro Scimone, Francesco Sframeli and Valerio Binasco. With the latter, he participates in the birth of 3 productions as a directing collaborator: Bar and La Festa and Il cortile, and activates a relationship that is still fruitful.
In 1998 (Amphitryon with Fausto Paravidino and Franco Ravera), he debuts as a director, and soon turns his attention to shows for public places and unconventional venues, also because since 1999 he has been artistic director of the Andersen Festival and since 2007 of ARIA _ international festival of performance for public places. In 2003 he created Artificio23 together to Marina Petrillo and Alessandra Traini, a structure that deals with festivals and the production of shows at the intersection of theatrical disciplines and cultures: the projects La caduta perfetta, Horror vacui (directed together to Michela Lucenti) and numerous other productions were born, including the collaborative project with the Kenyan group Afro Jungle Jeegs that led to the making of a documentary, as well as the show I Prodotti (2009).

Michela Lucenti
was born to La Spezia in 1971, she began to studying ballet and contemporary dance at Loredana Rovagna's Centro Studi Danza. She meets the work of Pina Bausch's company, an important acquaintance that will deeply mark her choices. In 1990 she begins to attending the two-year school of the Teatro Stabile di Genova. At the same time in 1991 he encounters the last phase of Jerzy Grotowski's research work. In 1993 she wins a scholarship that puts her in contact with Raffaella Giordano, Giorgio Rossi, Michele Abbondanza, Adriana Boriello and Julien Anzillotti. In 1995 she joined Moni Ovadia Teatro Biondo in Palermo in the show Diario ironico dell'esilio, directed by Roberto Andò. In the same year, from the collaboration with Alessandro Berti, the company L´Impasto was born to Bologna. With the Trilogy L´Impasto completes its first, long national tour. From 1995 to 2003 he produced several shows. In 2003 the Balletto Civile project was born, a working team for production and training, created to deepen the idea of its own total theater, privileging original live singing and movement based on the deep relationship between performers. Within this experience will be born the shows I Topi and KetchupTroiane, as well as to numerous pedagogical projects in collaboration with the Universities of Turin, Milan, Brescia, Perugia, Bologna, Udine, Trieste and Gorizia. With Balletto Civile he creates numerous performances. Only last year debuts to Turin William Shakespeare's Macbeth for which Michela Lucenti signs the choreography with direction by Valter Malosti, to May 2007 the show Battesimi debuts at the Andersen Festival; to June 2007 the director of the Venice Biennale Dance Sector Ismael Ivo calls Michela Lucenti to his side for the show Il mercato del corpo and in the summer-autumn 2007, thanks also to the support of Artificio23, the study and research of the installation project Creature gets underway, for which Michela Lucenti takes care of the conception and choreography with the collaboration of Uovoquadrato mediadesign and the painter Mirko Baricchi.
to June 2008 debuts the show Creature at the Venice Biennale Festival Danza ideation and choreography Michela Lucenti.
Together to Leonardo Pischedda curates the direction and ideation of Horror Vacui (2008) and I Prodotti (2009) of which Michela Lucenti also signs the choreography.
