Francesca Mariano is a Milanese dancer and sound artist whose practice is developed through performance and education. Her research focuses on somatics, landscape choreography, speculative archaeology and the fantasy of electronic music, drawing inspiration from the source of imagination as well as from studies of hydro feminism, sacred iconography and internet kitsch. She is founder of the dance project Archaeo Choreology and co-founder of New Atlantis. Her latest album, Eurybia, was released in 2022 on Leaving Records. She has performed and collaborated with venues and institutions around the world including de Young Memorial Museum, UCSBì, CTM Festival, the Swiss Institute, the AA School, Nextones, Palermo Living Pavillion, East Contemporary, Maison Margiela.
