L’inclusione delle persone con disabilità nel mondo del lavoro: una scelta, non un obbligo
The "Paolo Ettorre - Socially Correct" Association was founded in 2008 to witness Paolo Ettorre's dedication to social communication, with the aim of implementing projects that increase social responsibility through communication and events.
The 14th edition of the Socially Correct competition offers the opportunity to art and communication students to confront social communication by participating as 'creative teams' in the communication project promoted by the Minister for Disabilities to design a campaign to boost the inclusion of people with disabilities in the world of work. The winning creative couple is rewarded with a work internship at the creative department of Saatchi & Saatchi.
Today, despite the obligations imposed by law, people with disabilities have great difficulty to finding an appropriate placement in the world of work that can restore their dignity, self-esteem and the building of social relationships.
The goal of the campaign is to break down discriminatory and cultural attitudes that generate prejudice and skepticism. It will have to raise awareness among Italian small and medium-sized business owners, young people, and the general public about the value of people with disabilities and stimulate their hiring. It will also have to convince employers that hiring a person with a disability can add value to the business, corporate image, and most importantly to the work atmosphere and beyond. If the recruitment of the person with disabilities is perceived as an opportunity rather than an obligation, then their presence will also be valued positively, as an enrichment for the organization. Being inclusive toward people with disabilities, contributes to to making the World a better place.
