The Eight Mountains with Luca Marinelli is best film at the David di Donatello Awards.

After Pulitzer Prize winner for music to Rhiannon Ghiddens, in last night's event comes yet another recognition for the artists of the upcoming Festival dei Due Mondi. The 2022 film The Eight Mountains, a film adaptation of Paolo Cognetti's novel written and directed from Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, received four David di Donatello awards, including one for best film. Starring in the film, along with Alessandro Borghi, is Luca Marinelli, one of Italy's most beloved and award-winning actors, who is expected at Spoleto for his theatrical directorial debut with the play Una relazione per un'accademia, staged Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9, at the Auditorium della Stella.
