The Association was created to remember the figure of Paolo Ettorre, who in his career always stood out for his sensitivity and commitment to social issues by being the promoter of numerous campaigns on issues of relevance to society.

The social campaign on which the participants in the competition are called to to confront, touches this year on the highly topical theme: sustainable development and environmental impact.

Throughout history man has always used the resources to available to him indiscriminately, without concern for the possible consequences of his actions. Water, air, land and climate are no longer inexhaustible resources. The whole system in which we live is changing: the way we build houses has changed, the way we conceive of means of transportation and mobility has changed, laws and regulations invite us to save energy and recycle materials just as companies offer us products to safeguard the environment. Without realizing it, we are protagonists in a real revolution of laws, values, market, etc. But what is the role of each of us? Is there a sense of responsibility and respect that involves us? Or are we indifferent to to these issues?

We all know that, to varying degrees, we should start to worrying about the effects of our actions and our daily habits in order to improve the quality of life in our cities as well. It is necessary to involve and empower each of us both to improve our living conditions and those of future generations, because people can do a lot even through small daily gestures. Making a more responsible use of water, reducing energy use, sorting waste, consuming less and buying products to low environmental impact, avoiding taking the car oil moped to make small trips, are all simple gestures that do not disrupt one's habits and yet have great consequences. The goal of the Socially Correct Competition 2010 communication project is precisely to make all Italian citizens aware and involved and invite them to adopt a new lifestyle to protect our environment, our cities, the people who live there and our families. If it is true that every communication project must lead to a transformation, the new Socially Correct campaign should lead everyone to adopt a behavior of respect for the place where we live and make our cities to human scale and more livable. Because indifference is no longer "sustainable."

The campaign will have to speak to everyone with special attention to young people and will have to develop civic sense and respect for the environment, our resources and common goods, through messages with simple, direct, effective tones and language. It will have to carry practical advice and become a vademecum of small daily gestures that each of us can implement.
