Synopsis

Talent to be cultivated and emerge needs concrete opportunities. With this spirit, EY gave birth in 2013 to the Young Talents Orchestra EY: a symphony orchestra composed of from very young people, between 17 and 28 years old, from from every corner of Italy, each with his or her own history, character and background, but all united by a great passion for music. Directed from Carlo Rizzari, this orchestra represents a unicum in Italy because the young people, chosen for their talent, have the opportunity to take free advanced music courses with professionals from the best Italian orchestras. The EY Young Talents Orchestra, a model of educational development for professional specialization, but also for the growth of the individual as a whole, is an ideal expression of EY's commitment to the community.

This concert sponsored from Fondazione EY Italia Onlus is dedicated to raising funds to in favor of the Seraphic Institute of Assisi, a nonprofit Ecclesiastical Institution that promotes and carries out rehabilitation, psychoeducational and social-health care activities for children and young adults with physical, mental and sensory disabilities.

Besides being one of the most performed composers in the world, P. I. Tchaikovsky represents a true miracle of contemporary media. The most obvious example of such astounding modernity is his Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, which, through the famous final sequence of Radu Mihăileanu's film(The Concerto precisely), was able to captivate viewers for more than ten minutes, in an age when the degree of attention to music, and more, struggles to be focused for even a short time. Although its structure has a classical, i.e., tripartite form, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto takes on bolder peculiarities, with deviations from tradition such as the absolute prominence of the main theme in the Allegro Moderato first half, and the exaltation of violin virtuosity; or the meditative and ethereal inclination of the Canzonetta, to the extroverted character of the third movement where the violin zigzags around a folk-flavored dance.

From the past to the present, the Young Talents Orchestra EY program follows the common thread of the silver screen: the second part is dedicated to some of the most famous Italian and overseas films. They are, in fact, evoked images of award-winning films such as Life is Beautiful, Titanic, Tea in the Desert, Star Wars, ET, Indiana Jones.

YOUNG TALENTS ORCHESTRA EY

Talent to be nurtured needs concrete opportunities to emerge; with this spirit EY gave birth in 2013 to the Young Talents Orchestra EY: a symphony orchestra composed of from very young people, between 17 and 26 years old from from every corner of Italy, each with their own history, character and background (from those who undertook university studies in parallel to those who are children of art to those who discovered music studies by chance), but all united by a great passion for Music and the dream of one day being able to cultivate it within a symphonic formation. Led by artistic and musical director Carlo Rizzari, who boasts numerous international collaborations with the most important Italian and European orchestras, the Young Talents Orchestra EY represents a unicum in Italy, as these young EY musicians have the opportunity to take free advanced training courses, aimed at deepening every aspect of ensemble music and orchestra work.
