Synopsis

_"I am nobody--who are you? _

_Are you nobody too?" _

Emily Dickinson

With They we explore the concept of transgender and the sexual identity of human nature. Observing the world of two creatures entering their universe of coexistence, transformation and endless role-play.

Two creatures travel through their private microcosms and imaginary universes.

They sometimes coexist and sometimes quarrel with each other; _they_ meet and disappear, now exploring, now ignoring each other.

They are constantly transforming and teetering on the brink between passion and hatred, changing and questioning each time in the fluidity of sexual desire and their undefined identity.

Defining someone's identity, in the contemporary world, has become the model for liberation. In contrast, our sexual preference does not necessarily imply our gender identity. Our biological gender is not closely related to our social gender.
