The Art Section of the 2011 Edition of the Festival dei 2 Mondi di Spoleto presents to Palazzo Racani Arroni, at the Museo Civico and to Palazzo Pianciani the Art Exhibitions directed and curated by Professor Vittorio Sgarbi. This is an articulated and prestigious project, which enriches the rich carnet of proposals of the Umbrian international event. This year the President of the Festival Foundation, Giorgio Ferrara, has decided to strengthen the Art Sector of the Festival, recognizing it as a vital and integral part of the event. In addition, a Research Committee of the Visual Arts Section, chaired by Professor Avvocato Emmanuele Francesco Maria Emanuele, President of the Fondazione Roma, has been established, which has supported and subsidized the exhibitions, thus showing, once again, sensitivity and great commitment to supporting art and culture.

The event was organized by from Promoter Arte, which worked in total synergy with the Institutional Bodies, interacting, in particular, with the Festival´s Management and Secretariat, with the referents of the Municipality and with all the sponsoring public entities: the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Region of Umbria, the Province of Perugia and the Municipality of Spoleto.

The artists featured in the D′Arte Exhibitions are all Italian, to with the exception of Russian Fedor Kuz′mic Suskov, as if to emphasize from on the one hand the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy and on the other hand the 2011 Celebrations of Russian Art and Culture in Italy.

to Palazzo Racani Arroni we find Daniela Severi′s gourd models, Soviet artist Fedor Kuz′mic Suskov′s landscapes, Federico Bonaldi′s multi-ethnic ceramics, Guido Taroni′s photographic films, forms drawn from Luciana Matalon′s archaeology of the psyche, Riccardo Mannelli′s body compositions, and Gaetano Pompa′s surreal and classical landscapes-this is the major retrospective on display.

Gaetano Giuffrè's plastic studies, Giuliano Vangi's marble chiaroscuros, Giuseppe Bergomi's figures, Livio Scarpella's Baby Idols, and Tullio Cattaneo's terracottas are on display at the Civic Museum.

Palazzo Pianciani will host two sculptural virtuosities: the bronze one by Giuliano Vangi and the wooden one by Alessandro Kokocinski, born in Italy from Russian mother and from Polish father.
