From Teatro Romano to  Piazza Duomo : Festival in full swing sells out Tickets still available for Rihannon Giddens, Marco Goecke and Marie Chouinard coming next weekend

Spoleto, July 3, 2023 - The public success of the 66th Festival dei Due Mondi is punctuated by the many sold out performances of the first and second weekends that pull the sprint to the grand finale of the last weekend of this edition: the concert by Max Cooper, Wednesday, June 28 at Teatro Romano, was sold out, followed by the show by Alessandro Baricco Tucidide. Atene contro Melo staged the following day, Thursday, June 29 at Piazza Duomo. The ratings for the theater shows also mark the milestone with all performances of the play Sarto per signora directed by Carlo Cecchi, the last performance of Zio Vanja by Leonardo Lidi at Teatro Caio Melisso, the premiere of Harawi to San Simone directed by Silvia Costa and for both concerts by Lonnie Holley at the Stella Auditorium. Still sold out for the shows scheduled for the second weekend: the show with Laetitia Casta Clara Haskil. Prélude et fugue at Teatro Caio Melisso Spazio Carla Fendi, Sergio Blanco's Divina Invención at Auditorium della Stella, the first performance of Sharon Eyal's Into the Hairy at Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti, and the last two performances of Harawi to San Simone. Maximum filling also for Fernando Montano's show Buena ventura at Teatro Romano on Sunday, July 2 to few at from its debut.

There was also great success for the return of Blanca Li's Le Bal de Paris and for the MusicAnimalia midday concert series, for which all of next week's dates are sold out.

Sold out for Cameron Carpenter's date at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi, for Luca Marinelli's An Affair for an Academy, and for Silvio Orlando and Pablo Remón's Ciarlatani.

Race to buy for the shows still available for next week and filling up: the arrival of American singer extraordinaire Rhiannon Giddens in Piazza Duomo on Thursday, July 6 at Piazza Duomo at at 9:30 p.m., for choreographer Marco Goecke's long-awaited shows Dark Matter at Teatro Romano friday July 7 and Saturday, July 8 at 9:30 p.m., and for Maria Chouinard's "M" on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, July 9 at 4 p.m. at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti.
