Festival dei Due Mondi announces Alexandros Stavropoulos' play Cinderella's

On Saturday, July 3, the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti will host the show Cinderella's, the first choreographic work by Alexandros Stavropoulos, which entered the bill as a replacement for Alan Lucien Øyen's show "The American Moth," which was canceled due to logistical criticalities caused by restrictions related to the health emergency. Stavropoulos experiments with the convergence of "high culture" and the fairy tale element while leaving out stereotypical approaches to the world of Disney heroines. In the performance, the famous fairy tale is stripped of its classical narrative and placed in the space created by Steve Reich's music.
